Role of Subgrade Reaction Modulus in Soil-Foundation-Structure Interaction in Concrete Buildings

چکیده

One of the key issues in structural and geotechnical engineering is that most parts buildings are usually analysed separately then outputs used foundation designs. In this process, some effects neglected. study, soil–structure interaction (SSI) foundations concrete was evaluated using direct finite element method (DFEM). 3D models were developed to analyse with different stories constructed on soft soil. Foundation settlement, deformation foundation, soil pressure diagram, weight reinforcement considered as main parameters. Deformation considering effect combined loadings (combinations dead load, live earthquake load). It shown by changing values subgrade reaction modulus (Ks) design, SSI tall can be automatically. The results also show cause changes pattern deformation, design. Furthermore, dishing appeared terms effects. An equation provided simplify This practical for civil (especially structural) engineers, they conveniently consider these design without DFEM.
